Best Ever Snickerdoodle Cookie Recipe
Which cookie makes you happy? Snickerdoodles or sugar cookies? One of my favorite cookies ever is snickerdoodle! My favorite cookie has a nickname some call snip-doodles or cinnamon sugar cookies. The history of a Snickerdoodle dates back to the late 1800s, and some claim that Germany is the origin, but others say New England. Snickerdoodles have their own flavor and texture, as some like them crunchy and others, soft. Some sweet-tooth’s call the cookie a Schneckennudel, which means snail dumpling. This version is compared to a cinnamon bun, not a snickerdoodle cookie. The flavor of this delightful cookie has spread into ice creams, cakes, pies, even tarts and cup cakes. There is something delightful about the simplicity, even a 3rd grader could make.
This weekend I came across one of the best recipes ever for them. Try out this recipe, you will thank me later.
