Kanye Invited To Holocaust Museum Following Anti-Semitic Comments
Kanye has been given an opportunity to learn from his racist comments. The Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles is offering the rapper a private invite. They hope to teach how his comments have affected the Jewish community.
“Words matter and words have consequences Ye,” the museum wrote in an Instagram Story, per HipHopDX. “We urge you to come visit us at Holocaust Museum LA to understand just how words can incite horrific violence and genocides.”
“The Holocaust started with only words that sadly begat stereotypes, racial and religious tropes and blaming others and led to the murder of six million Jews.”
The museum went on to explain to Ye that their work also includes educating guests on genocides outside of Jewish persecution. They emphasized Kanye’s ties to Armenia since he has four children with Kim Kardashian who is half-Armenian and half-American.
“At Holocaust Museum LA it is our mission to commemorate those who were murdered, educate on the Holocaust and all genocides including the genocide perpetrated against the Armenian People (of which your children would be included), and inspire a more dignified and humane world,” the museum continued.
Kanye received a lot of backlash last week for posting anti-Semitic comments on social media, starting with his text message exchange with Diddy. Diddy tried asking Ye to meet up in person, following a disagreement about Kanye’s “White Lives Matter” t-shirts. Diddy wrote, “N—- send me a address. Let’s stop playing these internet games. And don’t feel threatened. You’ll be fine. Just love.”
Ye responded with an antisemitic message: “This ain’t a game. Imma use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told me that no one can threaten or influence me.”
Kanye then went on Twitter where he promised to go “death con 3” on Jewish people. Both the post and tweet have since been deleted. Ye now has restricted access to both sites.
Kanye has not responded on whether he will be accepting the Holocaust Museum’s invitation.
