South Carolina’s ‘Pepper X’ To Be The Hottest Pepper On Record
When I saw this headline I said, out loud, ‘WHY?’. There’s a company in Fort Mill, South Carolina that has developed a pepper three times hotter than the Carolina Reaper pepper. And I again ask WHY?! LOL!
According to WCNC, a company called ‘PuckerButt Pepper Company’ has created a pepper 3 times hotter than the Carolina Reaper. Ed Currie is the pepper master and the owner of the business. He created the well-known Carolina Reaper pepper but now wants to go hotter. His upcoming hot pepper, ‘Pepper X’, registers more than 3 million Scoville units. Who eats stuff this hot?
Lots of people eat stuff this hot! I’m not one of them though. I think a jalapeno is hot! At ‘PuckerButt’ (LOVE the name) they sell hot sauce, pepper seeds, peppers and more. Their products ship to more than 95 countries.
Years ago when I was working for another radio station, a wing restaurant brought in extremely hot stuff. To even deal with the wings, they wore gloves. The food just being in the studio gave me an intense headache. One of the guys I worked with tried the wings with the crazy hot sauce and ended up in the bathroom in the fetal position on the floor. And this new pepper will be hotter!
