Gastonia ‘Yoga Fest’ Will Get Your Body And Mind Feeling Great For Fall
We’re still dealing with insanely hot temperatures, but fall is on the way, hopefully sooner than later! If your body and mind are in need of a reset, this event is for you. The Warlick Family YMCA in Gastonia is holding ‘Yoga Fest’ on Saturday, September 23. This family fun event will begin at 8 a.m. and go until 2:30 p.m.
According to Gaston Alive, ‘Yoga Fest’ is an event that will help you refresh, restore, and renew. And after this summer, all of us could use that! If you’ve been interested in yoga but scared to try it, this is a great way for you to see what it’s all about. The festival is for yogis, beginners, and anyone who’s interested in giving it a try.
The Warlick Yoga Festival is featuring a variety of yoga classes and workshops to help you energize your body and mind. There will be sessions for experienced yoga enthusiasts and sessions for beginners. In between the yoga sessions, you’ll be able to do some shopping. Lots of small business vendors will be set up so that you can check out lots of goods and services, handmade products, and shop one-of-a-kind items. In addition, food and beverage vendors will be on-site so that you can ‘refresh’ your taste buds.
‘Yoga Fest’ will be happening at Camp Tuscarora, across from Robinwood Lake from the Warlick Family YMCA, and the event is for folks 12 years of age and older.

The yoga class descriptions, more details on the event, ticket info, and registration info is here. For years, folks have told me that I need to do yoga since I’m a bit high-strung. I’ve tried it twice, but I just have a hard time getting into the Zen. Boxing and hitting has always been my type of ‘Zen’. Of course, now that I’m older and have some issues since neck surgery, I may need to give yoga another shot. If you’ve never tried it, it’s not easy! It looks like it would be but in order to do yoga, you must be strong.
If you’ve never given it a shot, this event is a great way to check it out!
