Ring In 2024 With A Beautiful Sunrise At Grandfather Mountain
It’s a bit early to be making plans for New Year’s Day, but this an event that you may want to put on your calendar. To kick off 2024, Grandfather Mountain is holding ‘Sunrise at the Swinging Bridge’ and it will be beautiful.
According to WCNC, Grandfather Mountain is hosting ‘Sunrise at the Swinging Bridge’ event on January 1, 2o24. Now, lots of folks enjoy ringing in the new year with drinks on New Year’s Eve, this may be something fun and different. And there’s no hangover!
If you’ve never seen the breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain from the Mile High Swinging Bridge, you need to! The beauty is hard to describe. This is going to be a memorable experience, and you definitely won’t forget this New Year’s Day!
The event is taking place before regular operating hours, so you’ll get a rare chance to see the views as the day begins. Sunrise is expected to be at 7:38 a.m., and the park gates will open a little over an hour earlier at 6:30 a.m. Obviously, it will be chilly, so you’ll want to dress warmly. Bringing a thermos of coffee might be a good idea too!
The Event Is Limited, So Get A Ticket
The event is limited to 150 guests and is ticketed. Buying a ticket will give you access to Grandfather Mountain for the day, once the park’s normal hours start, which is 9 a.m. Tickets are going on sale Tuesday, November 21 at 10 a.m. Adult general admission tickets are $50, kid’s tickets for ages 4 through 12 are $35. If you’re a Grandfather Mountain Bridge Club member, you can get tickets for $25.
