Charlotte ‘Hearts For Hope’ Gala Supporting Local Families In Need
Over Christmas, K 104.7 raised funds to help Charlotte Family Housing. The local organization helps working, homeless families in our community. Another local organization helps as well, Families Forward Charlotte. The two organizations often work together, and an event is coming up that looks awesome!
Families Forward Charlotte’s goal is to empower Charlotte area families to overcome intergenerational poverty. Partnering with local families experiencing poverty, they offer educational opportunities, support, and mentoring. Helping families dealing with poverty, they help them in to achieve lasting economic stability. And you can help!
Their seventh annual ‘Hearts for Hope’ fundraising gala is happening on March 2 from 6-10 pm at The Big Chill here in Charlotte. Tickets for the event are on sale now. You can buy single tickets as well as buying tickets for an entire table. There will be live dinner and drinks, live entertainment and a special program featuring Families Forward Charlotte Leaders and program participants. In addition, there will be live entertainment and a live & silent auction.

As Charlotte Grows, We Need To Help People Grow
Charlotte is growing quickly, and with growth comes higher rent prices. Working full-time doesn’t always mean you can pay all your bills. Many of us work paycheck to paycheck, me included. Groceries prices are insanely high and sometimes making ends meet is difficult.
One of the things I am hoping to do in 2024 is to help others more. Now, rarely do I have expendable income, but every month or so I try to donate to a charity. It might only be $10 or $20, but every little bit helps! As our area grows, we all need to partner together to make sure that people in our community grow as well.
