Yabba Dabba Doo! “The Flintstones” are coming back to primetime TV in the form of a sequel. Deadline reports that Fox is developing a new animated series called “Bedrock,” inspired by the characters from the classic 1960s cartoon.

“Cocaine Bear” director Elizabeth Banks and Canadian actor Manny Jacinto (“The Good Place”, “Top Gun: Maverick”) star as grown-up versions of Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble. Banks is also an executive producer on the new series.

Comedy veterans Stephen Root and Amy Sedaris have been cast as Fred and Wilma Flintstone. Nicole Byer (“Grand Crew”) and Joe Lo Truglio (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) will provide the voices for Betty and Barney Rubble.

“Bedrock” will follow the “modern Stone Age family” as they adjust to life in the emerging Bronze Age. The series has been in the works for a couple of years but no premiere date had been announced yet.
