What would a wedding reception be without music? Whether the happy couple hires a band or a DJ, the right mix of songs can take the post-nuptial party from ordinary to epic. A new survey of 2,000 wedding guests reveals the 40 songs that should be on the playlist at the reception.

According to The Sun, “Dancing Queen” by ABBA, which was first released in 1976, took the top spot. ABBA actually made the list twice. You can see the top 10 based on the survey results below. Thankfully, “Macarena” is no where to be found. But I’m a little surprised Kool & The Gang’s “Celebration” didn’t make the cut.

  • 10. "Don't Stop Believin'" - Journey

  • 9. "I Gotta Feeling" - The Black Eyed Peas

  • 8. "Night Fever" - The Bee Gees

  • 7. "Dancing in the Moonlight" - Toploader

  • 6. "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" - Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons

  • 5. "Mamma Mia" - ABBA

  • 4. "Happy" - Pharrell Williams

  • 3. "Sweet Caroline" - Neil Diamond

  • 2. "Don't Stop Me Now" - Queen

  • 1. "Dancing Queen" - ABBA
