The talented Gibb brothers had been a force in pop music since the mid-1960s. Then came disco and a new level of fame for the Bee Gees. Barry, Robin, and Maurice became the undisputed kings of the ’70s dance craze, largely due to their work on the movie Saturday Night Fever.

The Bee Gees are as much a part of the success and lasting legacy of Saturday Night Fever as the film’s star, John Travolta. Forty-five years later, the soundtrack remains the second-biggest-selling one of all time, after only The Bodyguard. The three singles the Bee Gees released from that album in 1977 all went to #1 in the U.S. and Canada.
