Revealed: Recipe To The Grilled Cheese Sandwich from Disney’s Toy Story Land
As the Coronavirus quarantine goes on, families may be getting tired of the same old meals. Here’s a great spin on grilled cheese. Grilled cheese is always pretty easy to make, but if you’re in the mood for a challenge that will be worth the time and effort, Disney Parks has shared the recipe to the grilled cheese sandwich made at Woody’s Lunch Box at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
You may not have all of the ingredients in your refrigerator or pantry, so take note and be sure you’ve got everything before your next grocery store order. For the cream cheese spread, you’ll need cream cheese (obviously), but also 1/2 cup of shredded double Gloucester or cheddar cheese, 2 tablespoons of heavy cream and a quarter teaspoon of coarse salt. The garlic spread calls for a cup of mayonnaise, a teaspoon and a holf of garlic, and another half teaspoon of coarse salt. And the sandwiches themselves just require artisan bread (obviously you can use any kind of bread, but if you’re going for the true Disney experience, go for the artisan), and slices of cheddar and provolone cheese.
For the cream cheese spread, just put all the aforementioned ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. For the garlic spread, just put all of those ingredients in a bowl and stir until blended. To assemble the sandwiches, lay out the bread slices on parchment paper or large cutting board. Place two slices of cheddar on four of the bread slices. Place two slices of provolone on remaining bread slices. Spoon the cream cheese spread on slices with provolone. Gently smooth cream cheese spread over each slice. Press the cheddar side and provolone side together. Heat a large skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes, until hot. Brush both sides of the sandwiches with garlic spread. Grill sandwiches for 2 minutes on each side, until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown. Viola!
