POLL: Does The Face Mask Mandate Affect Concealed Carry Permits
TINLEY PARK, IL - DECEMBER 17: A customer shops for a pistol at Freddie Bear Sports sporting goods store on December 17, 2012 in Tinley Park, Illinois. Americans purchased a record number of guns in 2012 and gun makers have reported a record high in demand. Firearm sales have surged recently as speculation of stricter gun laws and a re-instatement of the assault weapons ban following the mass school shooting in Connecticut . As crazy as it may sound, this mandate could affect those who carry a permit in some states. In some states, wearing a face mask makes concealed carrying illegal.
I believe it has to do with the fact that while being permitted to carry a concealed weapon, you can’t have your face covered. What I have found is that when wearing a mask for protection for health reasons, it’s ok. If you are wearing a face-covering with the intent to commit a crime, then of course that is not ok.
Research is showing that North Carolina is one of the states that you will be just fine wearing a face mask along with your concealed carry. Is this something you’re worried about? Drop your poll below.
