This Kid Has An Interesting Security Item He Carries Everywhere
As a kid I had a “security blanket” that I took everywhere. My parents would often find me sleeping on the stairs, holding my blanket. (Yes, the stairs. I have no clue why I slept there) This little boy has something just a bit bigger than a blankey.
Theo is two years-old and loves spending time with “Benny”, a skeleton. You read that right. The boy adores the skeleton so much that his mom, Abigail Brady, often has to pack the 5-foot-tall Halloween decoration in the car to run errands or play at the park. While it isn’t always easy dealing with a toddler and a stiff, Brady loves the way her son’s unusual friendship is making people smile.
The interesting friendship between Theo and “Benny” began on Sept. 15. On that day, Brady went down to the basement to put the dog in his kennel before she and Theo headed out to the local reservoir to play. She noticed the basement had flooded, so she stopped to clean it up. When she ran upstairs for a moment, she heard Theo yelling. She came down the stairs and saw Theo trying to lug the skeleton up the stairs.
Brady brought the Halloween decoration upstairs for her son, and it’s been the child’s constant companion since. Theo takes “Benny” to the grocery store, the playground, and watches TV with his new found buddy of bones. Apparently folks in their hometown in Utah find the friendship cute.

I’ll say this, if you’re gonna develop an odd friendship, 2020 is the year to do it! The pictures of the two buddies hanging out are adorable. Theo’s mom posts pics and video on her Instagram page and on TikTok. Theo’s mom is sure he’ll grow “out of Benny” soon, but in the meantime, the two are giving lots of folks smiles.
