Woman With Longest Fingernails Cuts Them After 30 Years Of Growth
I realize lots of folks get excited when setting records but I just don’t get this. It’s freaky to me! Ayanna Williams from Texas is the current Guinness World Record holder for the longest fingernails and after three decades, she’s finally cut them.
Now when I say long fingernails, I mean LONG! Williams fingernails prior to cutting were 288.8-inches. Typing that number doesn’t do her nails justice. They have to be seen to be believed.
Questions always arise when I see someone with exceptionally long fingernails. How do they do stuff? There’s no way Williams could do daily activities like work, type, put on clothes and other tasks. And don’t even get me started about bathroom stuff. No way is anything going well there!
Williams first held the record for the longest nails in 2017 when her fingernails were measured at a total 226.9 inches. They were measured again before being cut and she shattered her old record. The crazy long nails will now go on display at the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in Orlando, Florida. I’m also boggled on why folks would pay to see the nails, but to each their own. Rock on!
If you’re like me and can’t get a visual of 288.8 inches of fingernails, here ya go. You can see them as they’re cut. Gives me the willies!
