My mom loves Jon Bon Jovi but she wasn’t always a fan. My first “real” rock show was in 1984. Bon Jovi opened for the Scorpions in Charlotte at the old Charlotte Coliseum. I was a huge Bon Jovi fan and I wanted to go to the show, but I was only 14 years old. My mom took me and a few of my friends to the show but she wasn’t a fan of Bon Jovi. She thought he “cursed” too much. LOL! It was the band’s first tour and it’s a memory I’ll always have.
Now my mom is a huge Bon Jovi fan. She thinks he looks amazing now, and he does! I just liked the 80’s big hair, rough rock and roll look. Swoon! I miss the 80’s!
