According to Dr. Fauci – Changes To Indoor Masks Coming
The nation’s top infectious disease specialist says there may be more changes coming to mask recommendations – especially as it relates to wearing them indoors. In an appearance on ABC News, Dr. Anthony Fauci suggested indoor mask requirements could be relaxed as more people get vaccinated.
The CDC recently said people who are vaccinated don’t need to wear masks in most outdoor situations. However, the agency noted that masks should still be worn by people in public indoor settings. Fauci says a change to that policy could come soon, saying we need to be more liberal as more people get vaccinated.
He’s not alone, in an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration, also said face mask requirements should be relaxed now that the COVID-19 risk is dropping.
