PSA Of The Day: Always Check Your Purse Ladies
This is so scary! A video on TikTok has gone viral after a young woman in Texas found a tracking device in her purse.
Sheridan Ellis posted a TikTok video warning others to check their purses after she found a tracking device in her bag after an evening out with friends. The video has been seen millions of times. It’s a great reminder to always be careful when out in public.
In her video, Ellis explains that she went to dinner with a group of friends and at the end of the night, she was cleaning out her purse. She found something that didn’t belong to her. It was a Tile, which is a Bluetooth tracker that people put on their keys, phones and wallets to locate them if they get lost. Obviously she was shocked!
Ellis says she found the Tile before she got home and first made sure it didn’t belong to anyone at the dinner. She says she hasn’t reported it to the police because she doesn’t know when it was placed in her purse. Ellis removed the battery from the Tracker immediately. She posted the video as a PSA to alert others.
I left my beer on a table at a concert once and someone drugged me. It was when I was in my 20’s and not as savvy as I am now. Luckily, my friends were with me. I was so sick! After that incident, I became aware of my surroundings and never left anything in front of anyone I didn’t know well. You gotta be careful!
Young and older women need to always be aware of people and things around them. Someone could bump into you at a store and slip some type of tracker in your purse. It’s so scary!
