Mom Gives Twins The Same Name: First And Last
I know that parents want their kids to have meaningful and/or interesting names but this story is just nuts! Someone on Reddit shared a story about a new mom naming her identical newborn twins the same name. What makes this story crazier is that the boys first and last names are the same name.
A Reddit user from Australia shared a story about one of their coworkers naming her twins the same names. The boys are Sean and Seen, both pronounced like Shawn. What makes this story completely ridiculous is that the last name of the boy’s family is also Sean. So yeah, both boys have been named Sean/Seen Sean. No middle names, just Sean/Seen Sean.
According to Bored Panda, the poster works in the finance industry in Australia, and has worked with their coworker for 12 years. When the mom of the twins brought them into the office to introduce them to her coworkers, she told them that both boys are Sean Sean. Like Tom Tom or Jay Jay. When the new mom told her coworkers the names, the Reddit poster said out loud, “that is the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard, and it’s going to be so confusing.” Probably not the best thing to say out loud but dead on!
I will admit I’d have a hard time keeping my mouth shut on this one. The mom may think this is cute, but these boys are gonna have a confusing life. When they’re younger is gonna be a ruckus and when they’re older they are gonna get picked on. Why would you do this to your kids?! I’m not a parent but I see this being a huge problem for these boys in many ways.
Oddly enough, not everyone online thinks this is a bad idea. Ummmmm……ok.
