Oscar Mayer Unveils Bologna-Inspired Face Masks
When one thinks of skincare, who would’ve thought a deli meat company would have the idea of putting a slice of bologna on your face as self care?
Well, Oscar Mayer did just that, but not with real meat, just face masks that look like meat. Their Bologna Hydrogel Sheet Face Mask sells on Amazon for $4.99 per mask, and as the product description describes, “Our bologna has a nickname and it’s B-E-A-U-T-Y. No, this sheet mask is not real bologna. Put it on your face, not your sandwich.”
The face mask is the real deal, with the brand partnering up with Seoul Mamas, a Korean skincare company. Witch Hazel Botanical and seaweed-derived ingredients protect and hydrate, collagens lock in moisture and promote skin elasticity and “bologna-design induces unparalleled serotonin surges and a prolific amount of selfies.”
Per Delish, the mask sold out the first day it was released — we figure people really wanted to see the glowing effects of bologna! But it has since then been restocked, so you can get your hands on the deli-ghtful face mask.
The face masks include a disclaimer that warns folks: “DO NOT EAT BOLOGNA MASKS,” and as one Amazon reviewer wrote, “DO NOT EAT. Bologna, a food isn’t exactly what you thought. You can’t eat it!!!”
Another Amazon reviewer hilariously wrote, “I freshen up with one of these when I wake up looking like Leatherface on the outside but feeling like Buffalo Bill on the inside.”
One reviewer asked, ” Who else would want to slap their meat on your face?”
This is who we all thought of when thinking of putting deli meat on your face:
