Francene Marie interviews Kevin Brawley the AMPLIFY After-School Choir Director. The children’s choir was birthed by Carolina Voices. We are so proud of Brawley because he receive the 2019 CMA National Music Teacher of Excellence and also won elementary school choir director in CMS. Carolina Voices is the oldest choral organization in Charlotte which makes the initiative exciting. The first AMPLIFY After School Choir starts Thursday, September 1st in Myers Park Church.
Research shows us that blood flow is easier when music is played. It can also reduce heart rate, lower blood pressure, the stress hormone called cortisol. Also increases serotonin and endorphin levels in the blood. Music can boost the brain’s production of the hormone dopamine. This increased dopamine production.
