World’s Largest Treehouse Resort Coming To Smoky Mountains
I have always wanted to spend the weekend in a treehouse! I know that Treehouse Vineyards in Monroe has treehouses you can rent for the night/weekend. They look so cool! Now a massive treehouse resort is coming to the Smoky Mountains.
According to Southern Living, Sanctuary Treehouse Resort will open in Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains this spring. The resort will have 130 treehouses spread across 40 acres. And of course, there will be gorgeous views. It will reportedly be the largest resort of its kind anywhere in the world.
Husband-and-wife team Amanda and Brian Jensen got the idea for the resort after they stayed in a very impressive treehouse in South Carolina a few years ago.
Sanctuary Treehouse Resort is located on two 18-hole golf courses in Sevierville, just a short distance from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In addition to panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains, the Jensen’s plan to offer visitors a lodging experience that’s “unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.”
The resort will offer three unique types of treehouse rentals: Tree Fort, Tree Fort Double, and The Luxe. All of the treehouses offer stellar amenities. The resort will be accessible by golf cart only.
Over time, the Jensen’s plan to add cool features like an enchanted forest for hosting events, a walking trail with a scavenger hunt, a community hot spring tub, and more.
This place sounds amazing! Great for families and for a group of friends. The opening date for the first phase at the Sanctuary Treehouse Resort is set for March 2023. Booking is open now. I am sure the resort will book up quickly, so plan your trip now! Book a trip and see the description and pictures of the amazing treehouses here.
