North Carolina: This is the Most Affordable Place to Live in the State
North Carolina has some of the most affordable places to live in America, according to HomeSnacks. That’s good news for those looking to relocate and find a place with a lower cost of living.
HomeSnacks recently put together a list of the 10 most affordable places to live in North Carolina. To determine the cities, they looked at the U.S. Census and the cost of living data for North Carolina. They especially looked at home and rental prices in places with more than 1,000 residents.
“We discovered that whether it’s hip millennial cities like Reno, family oriented cities like Sparks, or great places to retire to like Henderson, North Carolina has plenty of affordable places to live for every stage of life and every budget,” HomeSnacks says. “And that’s a good thing, because the less you spend on your cost of living, the more you’ll have to spend on the fun things to do and see in the Sagebrush State. Like, scoring a ticket to the Area 51 party in Groom Lake or spending a night at the Clown Motel in Tonopah.” They add that even though these places in North Carolina are very affordable, they’re also safe. “It’s not rocket science, folks. When you save money on your cost of living, you’re usually in a better place to invest in your community,” they state.
