Firefighters Save Taylor Swift Fan’s Eras Tour Outfit From Destructive House Fire
As our building’s resident Taylor Swift super fan, this story was sent to me bright and early this morning with the message “this is something you would do”. And while I welcome my reputation (pun intended), I’m not sure this would be my first reaction in this situation. As much as I adore Taylor, there are other things I would save. According to ABC7 Grace Farrell’s home burst into flames last weekend in Frankfurt, Illinois. This story is incredibly tragic no matter when it occurs. But Grace was set to see Taylor Swift the following day at Soldier Field. And her Eras Tour outfit was inside the house that was currently on fire.
Most importantly Grace and her friends who were staying with her while her parents were out of town, all made it out safely. Unfortunately, the home was completely destroyed. It wasn’t until she was safely out that Grace realized her outfit for the show was still inside. She asked firefighters if she could try to go get it. Obviously, they did not let her enter the home. But two firefighters, named by ABC7 Brian Adcock and Jake Smith stepped into action. They were able to recover her eras tour outfit from the fire and Grace was able to attend the concert the next night for a few hours of normalcy. Other sentimental items were also able to be saved from the fire which the family is incredibly thankful for. You can read the full story here.
