North Carolina Ski Resort Delays Opening Amid Unusually Warm Temperatures
Those looking to hit the North Carolina slopes this winter, are going to have to wait a little longer than initially expected. One of North Carolina’s largest ski resorts App Ski Mountain has delayed its opening due to the temperatures. The resort took to social media earlier today to alert the public that opening day originally scheduled for November 17th (this Friday) will not be happening. It is now to be determined. The photo posted on social media showed the slopes still green with zero snow in sight.
Another North Carolina ski resort Beech Mountain has tentatively set an opening date of Friday, November 24th. Like App Ski Mountain they emphasize that the final decision is up to mother nature. After all, you can’t have skiing without snow!
Stay tuned to social media for opening dates and we will keep you updated as well!
