Construction Update On North Carolina’s Latest Brewery
The Charlotte, North Carolina area is no stranger to the craft cocktail and brewery scene, with new spots popping up almost weekly. And, here’s a look on how things are coming along with North Carolina’s latest brewery.
North Carolina’s Latest Brewery
According to Charlotte Business Journal, Suffolk Punch Brewing is hoping to open its latest taproom in Birkdale Village in Huntersville in time for the holidays. Suffolk Punch Brewing already has two locations in Charlotte including South End and an 11,000 square foot spot in SouthPark Mall.
And now, those folks living in the Lake Norman area will get to enjoy the brand, too! Birkdale Village has always been one of my favorite mixed use properties with retail, restaurants and apartments. So, what can customers expect when Suffolk Punch Brewing opens in Birkdale?
Reports indicate Suffolk plans a 2 story taproom and rooftop bar. The culinary team, led by Executive Chef Michael Rayfield will present a menu that rotates on a seasonal basis and showcases local offerings.
And, when it comes to what’s on tap, look for Suffolk Punch mainstays like Daydream Anytime Lager and Joyride American IPA among plenty of others. Plus, North Carolina’s latest brewery wouldn’t leave out the craft cocktail and wine lovers either.
Also, one of the biggest draws these days to a great brewery and gathering space is an inviting outdoor area. Suffolk Punch promises that, too with the rooftop bar featuring a view of a lawn and event space.
We’ve seen what a draw such spaces are with the recent opening of the Bowl at Ballantyne location of Olde Mecklenburg Brewing. When we visited on opening weekend, it was packed with families with kids and strollers and dogs in tow. There’s even a playground at that location.
So, we’ll look forward to the opening of North Carolina’s latest brewery soon. And, you can find more info on the project in the full story about Suffolk Punch. We’ll keep you posted as opening dates are announced.
