The music world was taken by storm on Monday when the news of Quincy Jones passing away broke early Monday morning. Jones’ family announced that the music legend passed away Sunday night at his home surrounded by family. Over the last 70 years of his career, Jones’ impacted many different celebrities. On Monday, celebrities took to social media to show their respects to the music icon.

Remembering Quincy Jones
LL Cool J posted to Instagram a photo of Jones with the song, Ai No Corrida, playing in the background. His caption read, “You were a father and example at a time when I truly needed a father and example. Mentor. Role model. King. 👑You gave me opportunities and shared wisdom. Amongst those taking to social media was also Will Smith. Smith was known to work with Jones for creating the hit show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Smith posted a photo of him and Jones on the set of the sitcom with the caption, “Quincy Jones is the true definition of a Mentor, a Father and a Friend. He pointed me toward the greatest parts of myself. He defended me. He nurtured me. He encouraged me. He inspired me. He checked me when he needed to. He let me use his wings until mine were strong enough to fly.”
