Stanley Facing Recalls with Travel Mugs
According to the recall, the lids on the Switchback and Trigger Action travel mugs could begin to shrink if they’re exposed to too much heat. That then leads the lid to be able to pop off causing the “burn hazard.”
There have been 91 reports to Stanley regarding the mugs and the lids coming off due to the hazard issue. Due to the burning, there have been reportedly 38 people burned from their lids with 11 of those needing medical attention.
The mugs that have been recalled include the 12- and 16-ounce varieties of the Switchback mugs and the 12-,16- and 20-ounce varieties of the Trigger Action mugs.
