I have a confession to make. I am not a clothes shopper. Everything in my closet is about ten years old. I did not get that gene that many people are just born with. I do however love to shop for things for my home and I love to find antiques. This new store is right up my alley. A popular Atlanta-based vintage home goods store is opening right here in North Carolina. Since I own a farmhouse, I can’t wait to dive in and see what I can find.
The Merchant promises to feature Charlotte-based vendors and just opened on July 1. Talk about shopping super local! I love it. The Charlotte, North Carolina store will have plenty of vintage home goods but that isn’t all. It will also feature a curated selection of gifts. And if the furniture and light fixtures strike your fancy, they are for sale as well. Co-owner Dan Collier said this in a press release, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring The Merchant to Charlotte”. Channel 9 published the release that goes on to say, “At The Merchant, we’re known for our one-of-a-kind vintage home goods, from linens to glassware, which we hand select during a bi-annual trip to Roundtop, Texas.”
The store is over 3,500 square feet and is the 28th tenant at Optimist Hall. It is open from 11 am til 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and 11 am til 10 pm Friday and Saturday. To learn more, get all the details from our source Channel 9 in Charlotte.
