Plenty of people love karaoke. Probably just as many people shouldn’t even attempt karaoke. However, there’s no doubt that some songs are much bigger karaoke crowd-pleasers than others. Billboard has just come out with their staff picks for the 100 Greatest Karaoke Songs Of All Time, which is sure to lead to some debate among the rest of us.

The folks at Billboard say the criteria for a good karaoke song is that it is “familiar, accessible, simple without being predictable, and reminiscent of a specific time and place without being hopelessly stuck there.” So, what is the best karaoke song? Well, according to the magazine, it’s Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like A Woman.” One Billboard expert explains, “That’s always a girl-empowerment song that gets the room going. And the best is when a drunk guy sings that song.”

Shania even had some thoughts on the choice. “I think @billboard just crowned me the Queen of Karaoke?!,”
