When couples plan their wedding and reception, they put a lot of thought into the music they want for their processional, first dance, parent dances, etc. They may even give the DJ a list of their favorite songs...along with a list the songs they DON’T want to hear at their reception.

Posh DJs of Cranford, New Jersey recently shared a video on TikTok revealing the top “do not play” list of songs for the last year (January 26th, 2021 to January 26th, 2022). Surprisingly, a lot of songs you'd expect to hear at a reception are on it. Who doesn't want to hear "Celebration" from Kool & The Gang at a wedding? That's #19 on the list. On the other hand, I can understand not wanting to hear Cardi B's "WAP" in a room full of relatives.

Apparently, line dancing is completely off the table, at least in New Jersey. It has been a while since I've gone to a wedding. Do people at least still do the "Chicken Dance?" Interestingly, a lot of the same songs on the "do not play" list also show up on Posh DJs' most requested songs list, which just goes to show no one can agree on anything these days.
