Shaun White Is Officially A Snowboarding Legend
If you missed last night’s Men’s Snowboard Halfpipe Final then you definitely missed out.
This year’s Winter Olympics, held in beautiful Pyeongchang, South Korea, was home to one of the best men’s halfpipe finals in almost a decade. Shaun White came out firing holding first place after his first run, but Japanese athlete Ayumu Hirano, took over the number one spot after his incredible second run with a 95.25 score, setting up an epic scenario for White.
Going into Shaun’s third and final run, he needed to post a near perfect score to take home the gold medal for the third time in just four Winter Olympics, the stage was set, and Shaun was beyond ready.
Then, history was made.
