On Tuesday owner Michael Jordan of the Charlotte Hornets donated $2 million to the hurricane relief efforts.
Tomorrow, Friday, September 20th, as an organization, the Charlotte Hornets will be packing disaster food boxes at Second Harvest Food Bank; the boxes will be distributed to Wilmington, Fayetteville, and Myrtle Beach. The organization’s goal is to pack 5,000 boxes. Hornets fans can help the relief efforts in a couple of ways:
You can now purchase a Carolina Strong T-Shirt from Hornets Fan Shop.com with all proceeds benefitting The Foundation of the Carolinas Hurricane Florence Relief Fund.
You can also make a financial contribution to any of 5 organizations that are spearheading the relief efforts by going to hornets.com.
Be sure to tune in to our sister station The New 103.7 tomorrow for an exclusive interview with Vice Chairman and President Fred Whitfield and President of Basketball Operations Mitch Kupchak for the Hornets on-air.
