The White House Christmas Tree Will Be From NC
One North Carolina Christmas Tree farm is getting a huge honor this holiday season. This year the White House Christmas Tree will be coming from Peak Farms which is located in Ashe County, NC. Peak Farms is owned by Russel Estes and his son and does over $1 million worth of tree sales a year. They were selected to provide the White House Tree from the North Carolina Christmas Tree Association’s farm tours. Judges spent a week traveling and looking at trees all over before Este’s tree was chosen for this honor.
This is actually the third time they have been chosen to provide a tree for the White House. Previously they have supplied trees for the Bushes and the Obamas. They have also had the honor of providing a tree for the vice president’s house when Mike Pence was VP.
Trees grown at Peak are sold across the state including here in Charlotte. Get more info on Peak Farms here.
