Parents On TikTok Are Loving This Potty-Mouth Mom & Her Daughter
A mom’s explanation on why she let’s her daughter cuss while at home has gone viral, and I totally get it! The video on TikTok has gained over 3 million views and racked up over 7,000 comments.
Mom and self-proclaimed “potty mouth” @psyko_therapy says she has rules for her daughter in regard to cursing. And they make sense to me. I mean, let’s be honest, if you have kids you know they learn every swear word available at school or on the bus. Letting kids say a naughty word here and there makes it less of a thrill for them to curse out of the house.
I grew up around a lot of cursing. Almost all of it was from my dad when he was watching the Carolina Tarheel’s play basketball. My dad cussed so much that our pet African Grey Parrot started mimicking my dad, so yeah, our bird cussed too!
Much like this mom, I’m a “potty mouth” and people always ask me how I don’t say things on-air. You get used to it. But don’t get in a car with me or else you’ll hear some serious bad language!
According to In The Know, the mom explains in her video, that her daughter is allowed to cuss so long as she follows these rules:
- No swearing to disrespect people.
- No calling each other swear words.
- Not when guests are over.
The mom has no issue with her daughter saying a bad word once in a while. She believes “swearing is real life”. Most folks agree with the mom. Of course, each family should do what works for them!
I curse around my parents all the time now, but I don’t ever curse at them. Sometimes in life, you just need to say a bad word!
