Huge news if you’re looking to see some Christmas lights tonight. While you can still take that scenic neighborhood drive, or venture through the McAdenville traffic, there is another free option to take advantage of. That’s right the Speedway Christmas Lights are free tonight, December 6th, for the first 250 cars in line. Charlotte Motor Speedway made the announcement this morning on its social media pages.
Normally it is $40 a car for admission. The event iss presented by Atrium Health and features four million LED Christmas lights strewn across a four-mile course. The course weaves through the infield, track, and concourse with displays and lights synchronized to Christmas-themed music. The show is open rain or shine. There’s also a storybook stroll and Christmas Village which includes:
- Photos with Santa presented by Cook Out
- Sea Life Selfie Station
- Santa’s Workshop
- Movie Theater
- Merchandise vendors
- Food vendors and a bar
- Carousel and Swing rides
- Atrium Health 360 Camera in victory lane
