Buffalo Target Hosts Christmas Eve Sleepover For Stranded Motorists
Buffalo, New York is no stranger to massive amounts of snow. But the blizzard over the Christmas weekend was the biggest, and sadly, the deadliest that the area has seen in decades. The storm system, which began before Christmas, pounded Buffalo. More than 50 inches of snow fell, and the temps were frigid, and the wind was over 70 mph. However, some employees at a local Target decided to go above and beyond to help shoppers stuck at the store when the storm hit. They hosted a sleepover!
According to Fox Business, about 25 people sought refuge inside the Target in Cheektowaga when the storm hit. Some folks were inside the store shopping. Others were stuck in whiteout conditions and went into the store to stay safe.
Target employees welcomed all that were stuck in the storm and gave them Starbucks hot chocolate and blankets. The employees at the store told all seeking refuge from the storm that they could have whatever they needed for the night, on them.
At one point on Christmas Eve, the Target staff set up a television and put the Buffalo Bills game. People made beds on the floor with blankets and pillows and kids colored and played with toys.
These Target employees not only went above and beyond, but they also saved lives! Talk about customer service! I hope all of these employees were given a big Christmas bonus!
