Bride Shares Facebook Post Canceling Wedding And This Groom Got Lucky
We’re all familiar with ‘Bridezillas’ but this woman could have her own show! An ex-bride-to-be requested that all of her guests pay a large sum of money before their wedding so that they could take care of all expenses to have her “dream wedding.” When some guests refused or were unable to afford it, the woman went ballistic and canceled the whole thing. And broke up with her fiancé!
According to Your Tango, the woman explained her decision in a lengthy Facebook post. And her explanation only made her look even more shallow and delusional. The woman explains by alerting family and friends that her upcoming wedding is canceled. The wedding was set to take place in four days, but because folks weren’t willing to pay a very expensive ‘entrance’ fee, the wedding was called off.
Long story short, the couple saved $1500 for their wedding but the bride-to-be wanted an extravagant affair. When folks weren’t willing to pay, the woman not only canceled the wedding, but broke up with her groom.
She and her fiancé were torn between two venues before a psychic pushed them to choose a more expensive one. This would cost around $60,000 total along with flights to Aruba where the wedding would be taking place. The woman explains that they asked for a ‘little’ help from family and friends. Again, the couple only had $1,500 saved.
Therefore, the couple was asking for each guest to gift them $1,500 in cash to pay for their wedding. The woman claims that her former maid of honor offered to gift them $5,000 and that her ex-fiancé’s family offered $3,000. As the woman’s attitude continued to become worse, and as she felt more ‘entitled’, folks decided not to contribute funds. The groom-to-be mentioned having a wedding in Las Vegas, and the woman lost it.
The long story continues, but I think we all know what actually happened. This woman’s attitude ruined her relationship with her boyfriend, her friends, and her family. A bride’s wedding day should be magical, but if you can’t afford the magic, then you do what you can. This chick was obviously too focused on the cost of things than love, family, and friends. Sad.
