Snoop Dogg Teams With Sketchers For Super Bowl Ad
Rarely do Phil and I disagree but when it comes to Sketchers, we do! Phil says they’re ‘old people shoes’ and I say no. I have worn Sketchers since I was in my 20’s and I like them! They’re extremely comfortable. My first pair in the late 90’s were funky and you didn’t see them around lots then. Now that I’m older, I’m all about my feet not hurting, so I dig em! Snoop Dogg is proving that I’m RIGHT!
According to the Orange County Register, the legendary rapper has partnered with the shoe brand for a Super Bowl commercial featuring his hit tune ‘Who am I? (What’s my name?) And not only is Snoop in the spot, so is NFL stars-turned-broadcasters Howie Long and Tony Romo. Also in the commercial is Snoop’s close friend Martha Stewart.
The 30-second commercial shows Snoop doing numerous activities all while wearing different pairs of Sketchers Hands Free Slip-ins. The commercial was conceptualized by Snoop. “I’m excited to partner with Skechers, who always brings something for everyone— just like me,” Snoop said in a statement. “In this commercial, I got together with some of my friends, who also all have very active lifestyles and want to be stylish and comfortable at the same time, which we can do with Skechers. They’re shoes for all walks of life.”
So THERE Phil! Snoop is a few years younger than me and although he’s in his 50’s, I doubt folks would call him ‘old’. The shoes in the commercial are the type I bought recently. They’re crazy comfortable and I love the ‘Slip-ins’. Throw something on, slip on your shoes and you’re ready to go!
You can check out the commercial below. And totally off the subject of shoes, Howie Long looks great! Such a cutie!
