Grandma’s M&M Casket Goes Viral On TikTok
Funerals are usually a somber affair, but one family made sure their grandmother’s funeral would be a colorful one. A family honored their grandmother’s last wish which was to be buried in an M&M’s themed casket.
According to AOL.com, Scott Roundtree, the woman’s grandson, posted a TikTok slideshow from the funeral which has already received millions of views. In the slideshow you can see family members in colorful M&M-themed hats and t-shirts while at the funeral. The casket was custom-built and is a large blue M&M with its eyes closed and arms placed on its chest. Under the hands are small M&M’s with the names of family members etched on them. There were also M&M’s inside the casket as well.
On Twitter, a user by the name of Lisa Richardson (@lrich47) shared a bit of insight regarding the colorful casket. She says her husband Tom built the casket that the late woman helped to design.
The woman’s name was Mary Ester Stocks Martin Gaily. Richardson says she was a fun woman with a true love for M&M candies. She was a teacher for 30 years and her students would often bring her M&M candies and small M&M toys. Over the years, she ended up with quite the collection of M&M stuff.
This woman obviously had a love for life and was fun! I think it’s awesome that she was able to leave this world in such a fun and festive way.
RIP to Grandma Roundtree, as her family laid her to rest in an M&M's-themed casket yesterday https://t.co/xzfJ0exzxd
