Krispy Kreme Offering New Cookie Inspired Doughnuts

I gotta say, Krispy Kreme is on it! Over the last year or so, they’ve come out with some yummy specialty doughnuts. Their mini-Thanksgiving pie doughnuts were yummy. Now the company is offering a new mash-up: cookies and doughnuts. Just writing that makes my teeth hurt! LOL!

According to Food & Wine, the popular chain is teaming up with Oreo and Chips Ahoy to give us new cookie inspired doughnuts. The Cookie Blast collection features four new doughnuts, and they’ll be available for a limited time.

The new cookie collection features:

  • Oreo and Chips Ahoy! Cookie Blast: A serious treat! It’s filled with two Chips Ahoy! cookies and Oreo cookies and “Kreme” filling, glazed with cookie dough icing and topped with bits of Oreo and Chips Ahoy cookie crumbs, topped with a cookies and “Kreme” dollop and a mini cookie of each brand.
  • Chips Ahoy! Candy Blasts: A fresh spin on the Krispy Kreme classic glazed doughnut, with cookie dough icing and topped with bits of Chips Ahoy!, colorful milk chocolate candy “gems”, and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • Chips Ahoy! Cookie Dough Kreme: A new take on cookies and “kreme,” featuring a Chips Ahoy! filling. The doughnut is drizzled with cookie dough icing and topped with mini Chips Ahoy! cookies.
  • Oreo Cookies & Kreme Filled Doughnut: A doughnut filled with Oreo cookies and Kreme filling, then dipped in chocolate icing, and topped with Oreo cookie pieces and drizzled in icing.

Just reading the descriptions has made me gain three pounds! For those folks that love sweet stuff, trying these should be at the top of your to-do list. Honestly, I think they’re going to be too sweet for me. You can see each of the new doughnuts below. They look tasty!

If you want to try the new collection, they’re at participating Krispy Kreme stores now through May 7. And since tomorrow, April 18, is Tax Day, Krispy Kreme is offering customers a deal. If you buy a dozen doughnuts, you can score an additional Original Glazed dozen for just the cost of the sales tax. You may need that big sugar rush tomorrow!
