Mom’s No BS Birthday Invitation For Her Kid Is Going Viral
I’m a huge fan of someone who is real, someone who isn’t afraid to just be flat out honest. And I think others are fans too as this birthday invitation is going viral. A mom decided to make her child’s birthday invitation brutally honest and it’s perfect!
According to Scarry Mommy, TikTok mom Nat recently shared a video of a birthday invite that her son received. As soon as Mom Nat saw the invitation, she immediately knew she wanted to be friends with the mom who sent it. And I get it. I’d be friends with this lady too! The invitation is for a 5-year-old’s birthday party and the invite is hilarious.
The first line of the invitation says, ‘This event is brought to you by Pinterest Fails and the Dollar Store, so please set your expectations appropriately.’ The theme is what got me on the invite. The party theme is unicorns, but with rainbows, and maybe bats. It goes on to say that there should be princesses and also Minnie (Mouse) and we need dancing lights, so dress accordingly. LOL! Not exactly sure what you’d wear to fit the theme, but I’m pretty sure I don’t have it in my closet.
Continuing with the randomness of the invite, it says to ‘pack a bathing suit, sunscreen, puddle jumpers, etc. in case your sweet baby angels decide our original plan sucks and the pool would be a better time.’ And the fun isn’t just for the kids! The invite tells parents that it’s cool to ‘opt-out’ of the party. Parents can drop off their kids and ‘run’.
If parents are brave enough to stick around, the invite also says that ‘adult juice’ will be provided. If you’re gonna be at a birthday party for a bunch of 5-year-olds, I think ‘adult juice’ is necessary.
Folks online are loving the invitation! So far, Nat’s video of the invite has over 4 million views. Mom’s all over are approving of the brutal honesty and think all birthday party invites for kids should be ‘BS’ free. Although I’m kid-free, as a grown-up, I’d want to check out this party just to see how it goes.
