Sportscaster Works 46 Taylor Swift Titles Into His Report And The Video Is Going Viral
‘TaylorSwiftMania’ is a real thing in our country and the singer is currently touring, selling out in every city. Her ‘Eras’ tour has set attendance records, and the tour is estimated to make close to $700 million dollars. People are paying absurd amounts to see her live, with some concert goers wearing adult diapers to the show so they don’t miss any of her songs. I don’t get it, but her fans are for real!
Last week, Swift performed for two nights in Minnesota, with both shows sold out. Many local restaurants offered special Swift themed cocktails before the show. And a local sports reporter decided to get in on the Swift insanity.
In honor Swift’s shows, KSTP Sports Anchor Chris Long tried to see how many Taylor Swift songs he could fit into a four-minute sportscast. The video is going viral on social media. When I first watched the video, I realized that I couldn’t count the number of titles as I only know about three Swift songs. After looking around, I found a video with the song titles above Long’s broadcast.
Years ago, when I was working on another radio station, we’d play a game where we’d tell folks a weird saying, and then we’d see which jock could use the phrase the most during the morning show. It was me, my co-host, and another guy. It was fun but depending on the saying, it can be challenging. I’ll give Long credit! He did a good job!
I’m unsure if Long is a ‘Swiftie’. If he has kids, there’s a chance they are. He may have just snagged titles of Swift’s songs online. However he got them, he used them in a great way! Kuddos to him!
You can see the video below. And if you’re a Twins fan, you’ll enjoy the clip for other reasons.
After video review (counted on-screen in this clip), the official number of @taylorswift13 song titles @ChrisLongKSTP fit into his @KSTP sportscast tonight was...
