Handbag The Size Of Grain Of Salt Sells For A Crazy Amount Of Money
Some folks really have too much money! This may be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen and I just don’t get it. A handbag that’s almost too small to see just sold for more than $63,000 dollars! It’s the size of a grain of salt, so it’s not like you can use it.
According to CNN, the ‘Microscopic Handbag’ is based on a popular Louis Vuitton design. Is it? How the hell can you tell?! The tiny fluorescent yellow-green bag is the work of a New York art collective. The bag measures less than 0.03 inches wide. It’s so small it can pass through the eye of a needle and it’s ‘smaller than a grain of sand’.
I have way too many issues with this piece of ‘art.’ First, what the hell are you gonna do with it? It’s not usable. A glass case has to be put around this. Can you imagine carrying this around? You’d lose it! Second, someone paid $63,000 for this ‘art’. This tells me that some folks just have too much money. That amount of cash could help so many people! If I had an extra $63,000, I think I’d donate it before I bought a handbag the size of a gnat.
The handbag wasn’t made by ‘hand’. It was made by using two-photon polymerization, which is a manufacturing process used to 3D-print micro-scale plastic parts. You can’t see the ‘details’ of the handbag just looking at it. A microscope or magnifying glass would work, but your eye is unable to see the details.
This tiny handbag is considered a ‘luxury item’. To me, it’s a waste of money! What’s the luxury? You can’t use it and it’s ‘art’ you can barely see! UGH! Crap like this gives me a headache! Total waste!
