Charlotte One Of The Cities You Can Snag This Ghostly Burger King Halloween Treat

Halloween and all it’s splendor is already in full-effect in almost all the retail stores. In addition, many fast food restaurants and grocery stores are offering Halloween treats. Burger King is one of those restaurants and luckily, Charlotte is one of the few cities that are able to snag a new BK treat.

According to TODAY, Burger King will be debuting a Halloween bucket for a limited time in select markets, Charlotte being one of them. The trick-or-treating buckets are competing with McDonald’s Boo Buckets. Burger King’s bucket is black with ghost pepper ghosts all over it. It’s cute!

Starting on October 13, which happens to be Friday the 13th, select Burger King restaurants will be offering limited-edition, glow-in-the-dark “Trick-or-Heat” buckets inspired by Burger King’s ghost pepper menu additions. Customers in the following cities can take home the bucket with any purchase for $1: Nashville, Tennessee; Las Vegas, Nevada; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Atlanta, Georgia.

BK Offers A Hot Halloween

Burger King also announced it will be launching two “ghostly” menu additions on October 12.  except this specter is of the pepper variety. You can enjoy the fan-favorite Ghost Pepper Whopper as well as a brand-new menu item Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries. They both look festive, but spicy! The new Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries will be available in 4, 8, and 12 piece options, and you can choose your dipping sauce. There’s also a Halloween Ghost Pepper inspired BK Crown. I loved those crowns as a kid!

The Ghost Pepper Whopper was introduced last year, and folks were raving about its flame-grilled 100% beef patty topped with spicy queso, jalapeños, bacon and ghost pepper cheese which is placed in a toasted orange bun topped with black sesame seeds for a Halloween look. It will be available for a limited time while supplies last.

From Oct. 13 to 31, customers can also grab a ton of food with Burger King’s Halloween deal. Royal Perks members using Burger King’s app or website can get a Ghost Pepper Whopper, a 4-piece Ghost Pepper Chicken Fry, small French fries, small fountain beverage and a Hershey Sundae Pie for $13. Not bad at all! If you like it a bit less spicy, you can order a regular Whopper or Fries.

People love to knock chain restaurants, especially the fast food variety, but we all have our favorites. Call it a “guilty pleasure,” but sometimes you just get an overwhelming urge to pull into a drive-thru and order up a sack full of greasy goodness. Sure, your doctor wouldn’t approve but it’s not like you this every day. Or maybe you do. I’m not here to judge.

So what are your favorite chain restaurants? Money talks, right? The Top 500 Countdown has just come out from Nation’s Restaurant News, revealing the top chain restaurants in the country based on their sales performance last year. They compiled sales figures of the 500 largest restaurant chains in the U.S. for 2022.

Say what you will about the Golden Arches, but they still bring it. McDonald’s was America’s top restaurant chain in 2022 with $48.67 billion in U.S. sales last year. Mickey D’s has been on top for years and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Starbucks, its next closest competitor, only did $ 27.5 billion in sales for 2022. Chick-fil-A comes in third with $18.81 billion, Taco Bell is fourth with $12.92 billion, and Wendy’s rounds out the top-five with $11.69 billion in sales.

As for the pizza wars, Domino’s continues to dominate and had $8.57 billion in sales in 2022. It’s also the 10th highest-earning chain overall. Pizza Hut is 13th overall with $5.27 billion in sales, Little Caesars is 16th with $4.72 billion, and Papa John’s is 26th with $3.71 billion.
