A Michigan High School basketball team experienced one of the best wrong number stories ever. While creating a group text for the team a number was added with a wrong digit. And that mistake would lead to the high school team on FaceTime with the Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The basketball team from Norte Dame Preparatory in Michigan received a text back from that wrong number who claimed to be cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting. He even sent back a selfie to prove it and then proceeded to FaceTime the team. If that wasn’t enough he put on some of his teammates including Tom Brady.
“That was sweet,I didn’t know who it was. (Fournette) said, ‘Here’s my boy’ or whatever he said. It was nice. It would have been nice for me when I had been in high school too.” Brady said in an interview with ESPN. I have to say I am not a Tom Brady fan, yes I’m still bitter about the Panthers Super Bowl loss all these years later. But he has gained some respect for me with this. It would have been easy for Brady to ignore the situation or just say hi and move on. But the fact that he took the time to interact with these players is heartwarming.
The situation was recounted on Twitter by a father whose son is a Freshman on the basketball team. Read the full story of how the high school basketball team ended up on FaceTime with the Buccanneers below.
