We now know that the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams will battle it out in Super Bowl 56 on Sunday, February 13th. With the Carolina Panthers not in the game, you may be asking yourself who to cheer for. Many are defaulting to Cincinnatti since they knocked out Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes (and his described by many *obnoxious brother and fiance). But if that’s not enough for you? Maybe consider cheering for one of the local North and South Carolina players in this year’s Super Bowl.

Clemson actually leads the way with the most players from a college nationally playing in the game. Both NC State and Wake Forest also have two players represented. There are also a handful of players who were born in North Carolina playing in Super Bowl 56. If sheer numbers influence your decision? I’d go with the Bengals as they have 7 players with ties to the Carolina’s compared to the Ram’s 3.

Regardless of who you cheer for I hope you enjoy the Big Game. Super Bowl 56 takes place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, February 13th. Kickoff is at 6:30pm and will be broadcast on NBC. If you only care about the commercials and halftime show, the show fill feature Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
