There Has Just Been A Shooting At A Charlotte Area High School
An early morning shooting at a local high school has left one person dead.
Moments ago, police were dispatched to Butler High School amid reports of a shots fired call.
Details are limited at this time, however, the shooter is in custody.
Additionally, one individual has been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Both the shooter and the victim are students. The shooting allegedly stemmed from a fight in the hallway.
For those unfamiliar with the school, it is within the CMS district and is located on Matthews-Mint Hill Rd.
Police have secured the area and the location is now safe.
