Gig Work: Big Boom Coming

A recent article on LinkedIn says that the US Census Bureau is going to be looking for 500,000 part-time and temp workers as part of the 2020 Census. Wow, that’s a half a million opportunities to pick up a few extra bucks for working around your neighborhood and talking to your neighbors. OK, that’s a pretty extreme simplification of the job descriptions but still, it might be something to look into.
Lyft, Uber, Door Dash…if you’ve picked up that kind of work and like short friendly interactions with new people, this might be work that you would love!
