AC/DC To Release Children’s Picture Book
Although I don’t have kids, this news still made me giddy! No matter how old I get, I’ll always be a heavy metal/hard rock fan. And one of the most legendary rock bands ever is AC/DC. The band is releasing a children’s picture book to help teach little kids the alphabet. Love it!
According to Blabbermouth, Australian music and lifestyle company Love Police is releasing a new picture book for pre-schoolers titled “The AC/DC BC/DC High-Voltage Alphabet” on Friday, November 11. Managing Director of the company, Brian Taranto, says the company is looking forward to educating younger generations of rockers.
Love Police worked with band guitarist and co-founder Angus Young on the picture book. In it, ‘A’ is for Angus, who thinks it’s good luck to wear a school uniform and walk like a duck. How cute! The book will take kids down the ‘Highway to Spell’, which is obviously a take on the band’s song ‘Highway to Hell’.
This book is not only for kids, but adults will also dig it! If you’re a fan of the band, you’ll find humor in what all the letters stand for. For instance, ‘R’ is for Rosie, who’s a whole lotta laughs, and the band’s biggest fan, with the most autographs. A take on the band’s song ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’.
The AC/DC inspired book isn’t the only music-based book from Love Police. The company also other books in their ‘Rockin’ Alphabets Series’. There’s a metal one, a country one, and a punk one. Good stuff! If you have someone in your family or have a friend that’s really into music and has little kids, these books will make a great gift!
