‘The Today Show’ Surprises Al Roker And You Are Gonna Need Tissues
It’s an odd dynamic that people have with people on television and sometimes with folks on the radio. When you watch or listen to the same people daily for years, you feel like you know them. And that’s how a lot of people feel about Al Roker from ‘The Today Show’.
Roker has been a television stable for over 25 years on ‘The Today Show’ on NBC. Fans love him! Unfortunately, he’s been ill for over a month. He’s been recovering from blood clots in his lungs and has been hospitalized twice. His work family misses him greatly, so they decided to bring Roker some holiday cheer.
All of the anchors, producers, crew and security went to Roker’s New York home Tuesday to surprise him and sing some Christmas carols. Obviously, Roker’s wife Deborah was in on the surprise. And although the singing wasn’t great, the feelings were!
Roker was definitely surprised and it is so apparent how everyone loves him. In the video, you can see so many people with tears in their eyes. Roker was crying too!
This video will give you ALL of the feels and I will totally admit that I cried. I hate it when the big time feelings get me! I had tears running down my face and I don’t watch ‘The Today Show’ often. LOL!
The gesture was so thoughtful and you can tell Roker truly appreciated it and misses being with his co-workers. Grab the tissues before watching this one!
