Alice Cooper Makeup Line Is Coming Soon Just In Time For Halloween
Over the last few years, rock star inspired makeup lines have hit, selling out very quickly. There’s a Prince inspired collection, a Jimi Hendrix collection, and a Def Leppard collection, just to name a few. Despite the fact that I rarely wear a lot of makeup, I have the Jimi Hendrix collection. I’m a HUGE fan, and I had to have the collection. Many of us that grew up in the 70’s and 80’s are loving these collections as they’re nostalgic. Now another rocker has a makeup collection available and I gotta have it.
According to Blabbermouth.net, Alice Cooper, the KING of all things scary, is partnering up with Vampyre Cosmetics, to launch his own makeup collection. The collection will feature makeup palettes in the shape of guitars and amps. In addition, there are lipsticks shaped like microphones and a new version of Cooper’s own Whiplash mascara.
After looking at the collection, it’s a must for fans of the shock-rocker! Most of the colors are ones I wouldn’t use lots, but it’s Alice Cooper so I must have this collection! I’ve been a fan for many years and was even lucky enough to meet him about 10 years ago. Really nice guy! Meeting him was my ‘Wayne’s World’ moment, and if you’ve seen the movie, you get it!
Alice Cooper is a pioneer of over-the-top theatrics combined with music as far as live performances go. His use of makeup and wild, shocking acts on stage led the way for many bands that are popular today. Without Alice Cooper, we wouldn’t have KISS, Slipknot, or Rob Zombie. Cooper was the first to combine horror, campy theatrics, and rock together. He paved the way for many bands in rock.
I’m such a fan that I have an Alice Cooper ‘Rock in the Box’ doll. I’ve had it for years, and when I Googled it today, I found out that it’s ‘rare’ and worth some loot! Mine is still in the box, and when you push a button below the doll, it plays Cooper’s tune ‘Welcome to my Nightmare’. One of my favorites!
